8 Books About Low-Income Teens

In the past couple of years I have noticed a very clear lack of books written about teens of low-income. It seems very book I have read the teens all have cell phones, computers, internet access, money to do whatever they want, they live in the same place for years, take vacations, and so on. This wasn’t my reality as a teenager and it certainly isn’t the reality of any most of the teens I work with at my library. I can’tĀ even begin to guess why this is, but I can give you a list of 8 books that tackle the lack of money issue.

Panic Part-Time Indian
Yaqui Delgado The Distance Between Us
Caged Warrior Secret Side of Empty
