This month we’ve got three more blogs for you to follow. All of these blogs focus on a particular topic as they relate to libraries, all of which have ideas that are transferable to teen services. Mine them for ideas and get inspired!
The Library as Incubator Project facilitates the intersection of libraries and art in many different ways and includes a team of editors, contributors, and partner organizations. Blog articles cover topics such as art installations, performances, and other programs involving the arts from librarians, artists, and other partners.
The Library as Makerspace blog comes from the team at the Duxbury Free Library in Duxbury, MA. In addition to documenting the development of their own makerspace, they also post lots of resources of interest to other librarians working on their own spaces.
Cosplay, Comics and Geek Culture in Libraries features reviews, programming and services ideas, and general articles all about geeky interests. Launched in January, the blog features a large slate of librarian contributors and already has an impressive range of content.
